1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
My husband (Lea) and I decided to go on a nice dinner date one night after work. We agreed to meet at our favorite restaurant at 8 p.m. and he would make the reservation. I arrived at the restaurant only to hear we did not have reservations, but there was a table available for us. Thinking my husband forgot to call and reserve a table, I followed the Maître D’ to a table and was seated. I waited for 30 minutes before receiving a text from my husband asking where I was. Long story short, we did not have the same favorite restaurant and ended up eating at a fast-food restaurant in a suit and dress.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
My husband (Lea) and our coffee maker are the 2 most important things in our kitchen. He gets up early every morning and starts our day with coffee and conversation before work. He also makes well thought out healthy meals every night for dinner. Being a Registered Nurse, I spend long hours at the hospital and sometimes do not get home until 9 p.m. at night. He always makes sure I have a warm healthy meal to come home to and our kitchen is always warm and inviting for the entire family.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
People always assume that I do not have children or that I have one or two. I am the mother of six Children and one grandchild.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
There are many times that I have been in a situation where I had demonstrated leadership skills. Nurses are always in situations that constantly require them to take the lead. Being responsible for the lives of others is a huge responsibility and not for the faint of heart. Aside from nursing, I was an elected school board member for the city of Valdez in the state of Alaska. Here I was committed to ensuring that every deliberation, decision and action reflected the best interest of every child I served.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
I would love to say I didn’t have any fear of anything but having some fear may be healthy in some cases. I have gone skydiving multiple times, ridden on the highest roller coasters, jumped with snowmachines, camped, and fished all over Alaska but if I had no fear, I would try to base jump.
